Yes, the highway from Chandigarh/Delhi is well-maintained and double-laned. Hatchbacks and sedans can easily reach Manali. However, avoid driving at night, watch out for sudden landslide updates in monsoons (July-August), and exercise caution on icy spots near Solang in winter.
